At the core, hatha yoga is more than just shapes and techniques…it is the management of Prana. Prana is the intelligent force behind movement, thought, perception, manifestation; it’s the force behind all things animate and inanimate, it is the most basic unit of measurement behind ALL THINGS. The Pancha pranas or pancha vayus (Pancha means five and vayu is wind) are the five main winds of prana, or directions in which energy moves. When they are in harmony the pancha vayus allow for overall vitality, health and a meaningful vibrant life! In this series we will work with the vayus in a concentrated way to understand a little better how to harness and direct prana through the subtle pathways of the body through the use of asana, kriya, pranayama and meditation. Through its direction we can effect noticeable shift physically, mentally, emotionally, and beyond. While the workshops are labeled Prana, Apana and Samana we will work with Udana and Vyana Vayu inherently throughout for a full experience.
